INAYATH ART GALLERY is the dream project of Liyakath Ali, built in commemoration of his father, Late Inayathulla, a renowned social worker of Udupi Town.
The Art Gallery has been built in unique artistic style using granite stone bearing aesthetic sense. It accommodates 2 circular halls 18 feet each in diameter allowing tender lighting of the nature annexed a ample open space (30ft x 40ft.) facilitating room for art workshop, demonstration platform, exhibition stands etc. Traditional woodcarving adorns the main entrance and the facing wall holds a metallic mural rising upto 12 ft.
Primary objective of Inayath Art Gallery is to provide a full-fledged entry to artists for displaying their paintings and art creations. The gallery holds all the promise worth terming a special promotion center in Udupi town for artists, art lovers and the every purpose of art itself.
Mr. Liyakath Ali, born in 1954 at Udupi, hails from a poor and respectable Muslim family. At the tender age of 3 years he fell a victim to my elitis caused by polio and soon lost strength of both legs.
He countered very many socio economic problems during his youth. Poverty and disability cut short his ordeal in quest of academic career. He has to be content with Pre University Course. Fortunate for him, the appetite for skills of art inherently grew in him. Prompted by the intense urge and undeterred outlook, he nurtured the art within through self-perception supplemented by relentless practice and grew into an artist. In fact the craftsmanship empowered him to stand by his family in the difficult days spreading pangs of hunger.
During 1979 he joined Syndicate Bank as an artist unleashing a new assurance in his life which enhanced his faith in his artistic outlook and paved way for aspiring higher life values and dignified human relationship. He has contributed his ideals and presentations significantly over the year to his employers by designing advertisement layouts and scrip sketches of the house journal “GIANT” As an artist he has created many artistic canvasses in the form of Abstract art, landscapes, figurative paintings etc, and received appreciation from art lovers. He also created many works of art relating to Hindu Mythological gods Lord Ganesha, Shiva, and Krishna etc. His paintings have been displayed at a number of painting exhibitions held across the State as well as the Country.
He won National award for best physically handicapped employee - 1990 - Award conferred by his Excellency R Venkatraman, former President of India.
Outstanding young person award in the field of art, by Indian Junior Chamber Udupi, 1988.
Special appreciation award by Sri. Kasturi Rangan, SP, DK (1986) for his performance in Civilian Rifle training.
Felicitation by Udupi Town Municipal Council for his contribution in the field of art.

He is the member of Artists forum (Udupi - Manipal) Founder Member of Giants international, Udupi. Secretary, Noorani Education Trust (Regd.) Udupi. Despite the artistic touch blossoming within day in and day out, Liyakath All is better known as a Social Worker of Udupi perhaps the illustrious spirit of his late father continues to guide his destiny. He always vouchsafes and advocates the need for communal harmony bearing die-hard taste for United India.
